Megan Cunningham

Currently the Head Varsity Field Hockey Coach at New Canaan High School. Has been in the NCFH program since 2017, starting as varsity assistant & JV coach before becoming the head varsity coach 3 years in and led her team to four appearances in both the FCIAC and CIAC winning one state championship and two runner ups.

She has been involved with the field hockey developement in the youth program in New Canaan for the past 7 years.

Prior to coaching Megan graduated from Rutgers University in 2019, where she was a four- year letter winner for the Scarlet Knights, helping her team get to the BIG Ten Tournament 3 of her 4 years and the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1986. Due to a career ending injury her final year she became a Student Coach and helped the team in their final season as a coach from the side lines.

Megan played club on one of  the top teams in Fairfield County during her middle school and high school years and coincidentally, played under CT Elite’s Director Emily Townsend.

Megan is also our Marketing Director and Recruiting Specialist.
