Winter indoor club
The CT Elite Field Hockey Winter Indoor Club Program starts with tryouts for all age groups during the month of November. Because we draw the largest number of players in the winter, tryouts are crucial for placing players on the appropriate team. Last year alone, CT Elite had over 250 players tryout for a coveted spot in our winter program. After tryouts, players are placed on appropriate teams based on ability.
The Winter Indoor Club Program lasts roughly 13 weeks beginning the first week of December and ending the first week of March. Players will practice twice weekly at our premier facility in Chelsea Piers and play in 3-4 tournaments, depending on the specific team. More information can be found under the TOURNAMENTS tab. Indoor field hockey equipment is required: indoor stick, left-hand glove, shin guards, mouth guard, and court shoes.
Because development is paramount during the winter, we also offer specialized skill clinics designed and led by our professional staff that can be found on our Winter Indoor Academy page.
If you are selected for one of our CT ELITE WINTER INDOOR CLUB TEAMS, practices for U14s, U16s and U19s will be at Chelsea Piers on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from December 5th through March 3rd. Our U12s will practice at the Davenport School on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at Chelsea Piers on Saturdays. Please see below for specific team practice times.
