Damien Tarala

Damien joined CT Elite in 2021 as a coach, bringing elite international playing experience and a passion for developing the next generation of field hockey athletes.

A native of Norwalk, Connecticut, Damien currently represents the United States Men’s National Team and has been a member of the USA Field Hockey Men’s National Development Team. In 2021, he competed at both the Junior Pan American Championship, where Team USA earned a bronze medal, and the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup in Bhubaneswar, India. He has also represented the United States in international indoor competition.

Before representing the United States, Damien was a member of the Hong Kong Junior National Team and competed for the University of St Andrews Men’s First Team in Scotland. He currently attends Dartmouth College, where he has continued his involvement in collegiate field hockey as a practice player while pursuing his academic studies.

As both an accomplished defender and experienced international competitor, Damien brings a high-performance perspective to every training session. His energy, technical knowledge, and commitment to player development help inspire CT Elite athletes to compete with confidence, discipline, and a passion for continuous improvement. Throughout his coaching, he emphasizes the importance of hard work, resilience, and teamwork while creating a positive environment where every player can reach their full potential.
